Biggest Loser Weeks to a New Life

okay, I know it has been forever since I have done anything on here.  We have had a ton of medical issues this past year and I have lost sight of myself and my goal of being a healthier, skinnier self.  I weighed in the other morning and I am at 270 lbs ... I have never weighed this much in my life. I am disgusted with myself and upset.  Randy's aunt signed a bunch of us up for a Biggest Loser healthier lifestyle challenge.  Each week we get a list of guidelines to follow and we get points for every goal we accomplish that week.  This isn't a challenge to lose weight, it is to help build healthier habits to help you lose weight and be healthier about doing it.  So I decided each week I will post the guidelines for that week and if any of you would like to try this lifestyle change with us you can follow along.
Week 1
- Drink 8 (8 oz) glasses of water ..... 5 points per day
- Stop eating at a set cut-off time (usually 2-3 hours before you go to bed, I chose 7 pm) ..... 5 points per day
- Walk 6000 steps in a day ...... (1000-2000 is 1 pt, 2001-4000 is 2 pts, 4001-5999 is 3 pts, 6000 + is 5pts)
Total points possible for this week is 105 ... Good Luck and I would like to hear how everyone does at the end of the week

Late : Wednesday Weigh In

Sorry I missed yesterday morning, my mind was working well, since we were at the ER until 2:00 am, so I didn't register it was Wednesday until later that night. So I weighed this morning instead. Today I am at 265.6 lbs, so we are down a bit from last week. Hopefully we can continue in that direction.

Wednesday Weigh In #1

Okay, this week I haven't been my best on eating. We ate lots of munchies at the track this weekend instead of real meals. I have also been sleeping a lot because my jaw is swollen and very sore. But even with all my excuses, I weighed in at 262.6 lbs this morning, that is 4.4 lbs lost this week. I am hoping to keep on this path and continue to go in the downward direction. Good Luck to all of you, I hope you all are also going in the right direction.

Rock It - June 1, 2012

Bree: his honey her mommy

A friend of mine, Bree Gowers, has started a weight loss journey on her blog (http://gowersfam.blogspot.com/) called Wearing (weighing) Less. She is going to work the next 6 months to try and lose as much as possible and then on June 1, 2012 post a picture of herself in a swimsuit. She is looking for others to join her on this weight loss quest, so I thought I would share it here.

I am wanting to get my but in gear again. I am furiated to think a little over a year ago I weighed less than 200 lbs and now I weighed in this morning at 267 lbs. This is the most I have ever weighed. I am going to start being serious again, now that the medical issues are hopefully behind us. I will weigh in every wednesday on here, to help keep me on tract. If you would like to join me, please feel free to follow and add your weigh ins and things that you have found to help you lose the weight. If you are not an author on this site please leave a message and I will send you an invite, so that we can all work together on this journey.

Kiss Me Dirty ... Race Series

I saw this and thought it looked like a fun event to earn your exercise for the day and an incentive to work out evey day to be ready for this fun race. http://www.kissmedirty.com/

Wanna get a little... dirty? Everyone from the pretty princesses to the filthiest of female slop jocks is bound to enjoy the down right dirty goodness that Kiss Me Dirty obstacle courses offer. They are sure to knock your socks off, or at least make you want to throw them away when you're done. You will hop, skip, jump, slip and scramble your way through obstacles and mud to become an OFFICIAL "Dirty Girl", and with filthy fun like this, you just might have to ask someone to "Kiss Me Dirty" once you finish! These are all women only events with a portion of proceeds benefiting gynecological cancer research. So whether you bring him along to watch YOU wallow in the slop for a while, or you leave him home to take out the trash and cut the grass, you and your best gal pal's will certainly come away with some good honest dirty fun. Come and get as dirty as you want... we won't tell!

HELP ! ! !

okay, I have completely lost my ambition and drive. On my last weigh in on here (July 2010) I weighed 195. Well this morning I weighed in at 237 lbs. I have been watching the weight climb about 1 -2 lbs a week, since October. I honestly don't know what is going on. I walk about 1 mile every morning (it isn't a speedy walk every morning, because I am pushing a wheel chair or pulling children along with me, but it is still moving), I use my eliptical 15 minutes at least every other night and this past few months we have been doing a simplified version of Zumba on Tuesday afternoons with the kids in my class. I was doing really well with the diet part, until this past month and now I just am starving and needing something to eat continuously. I need some new advise and some pushing in the right direction again. I am hoping that it isn't connected to the medical problems I have had lately with my Uterus. Thanks in advance for everyone's support and hear is to a new beginning to an old goal.

waigh in

I havn't posted in a while because my waight has been the same the past few weeks. But today it changed. i am now 186 lbs. Still going strong on p90x. I have 3 weeks left. i am loving it. Getting up every day and getting my heart going. It's giving me something to look forward to every morning. Yes I still have those days when I dont want to but then i know I will feel guilty if I don't so I do it any way and when i'm done I'm glad I did. I have notised so many changes pants are fitting better, muscles are toning up. I just can't wait till I get down to that pant size I want. I know it's going to take a while and I need to be pationt. it just feels good that I'm trying and I will get there some day.

waugh in

I Waugh in on Tuesday so this post is a little late. But I am now down to 188 lbs. yay. I'm getting there. I want to make it to 140 so only have 48 more lbs to go to reach my goal. I'm finding I have more energy because I am eating right witch gives me energy all day and I am exercising and I am actually starting to enjoy it. I'm still going strong on p90x and I am in the middle of week 5. I feel so good I don't' know why it took so long for me to start up.

long time

So i relized no one has posted on the blog for a long time so I thought I would try to start it up again.

I have started to do p90x. I am on my 4th week. I have not missed a day (minus the two day I was sick) but then I got bag on the wagon and started up again. witch trust me is hard to do. Once I stop working out it's hard to convince my body to get going again.
I have so much more energy. I am happier and I have more energy to play with my kids. No to mention sense starting this I have lost 9lbs. It is awesome.

I weigh in at 190 now. Just have to keep going and I'll get there.

Wednesday Weigh-In # 6

Okay I am really shocked that today's weigh in is actually at 195.6 ... The past week has not been good and when I have weighed over the weekend I was pushing 200 so it has been scary, so I was really happy to see I was back to 195. Hopefully I will be able to stay focused this summer with all these barbeques and be able to hopefully get into the 180's. Good Luck Everyone.

Wednesday Weigh-In #5

Sorry guys, but I am not weighing in today .... It is my 15th wedding anniversary and decided I deserved a week off without having to worry about the numbers on the scale. I still would like to hear from the rest of you on how your progress is coming along.
